The Le Havre-based software publisher SOGET (editor’s note: a subsidiary of UMEP and its members) has just launched its academy to bring together its 40 training programmes.

All these activities are now brought together under a new entity called SOGET Academy, located in Le Havre’s historic harbour district, opposite the Software Factory.

The main aim of the training programmes delivered by SOGET is to enable its users to master and make the best use of its tools.

SOGET maintains close ties with the local academic community: the University of Le Havre Normandy, ISEL, La Manu, 42 Le Havre…

More than 15,000 users have already benefited from SOGET training courses, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo to Le Havre via Jamaica, thereby improving their efficiency and productivity.

With a deep understanding of business-specific requirements thanks to practical, on-the-job expertise, the ‘staff-trainers’ are ideally placed to pass on their professional skills.

“Training sessions can be tailored to clients’ needs, whether at their premises, at our premises or delivered remotely,” explains Soget Academy. 

“Participants are fully immersed during the training. The environment is conducive to learning and the transfer of knowledge. Exercises can be tailored to specific needs, and we discuss various issues. We train both schools and our clients, ranging from micro-businesses to large corporations, and everything is bespoke,” say Sandra Louiset and Sophie Jeanne, trainers at the academy.

SOGET Academy is also expanding internationally, as illustrated by the imminent roll-out of PCS S) ONE in Trinidad and Tobago. To this end, staff will be sent on site to deliver the necessary training to local teams.
