26 more riders for GMP

The Le Havre-based stevedoring company GMP has placed a new order with Kalmar for a further 26 hybrid straddle carriers. The estimated cost is €1.2 million per straddle carrier.

They are due to be delivered during the second and third quarters of 2025.

Reducing the carbon footprint

GMP has been using Kalmar straddle carriers since the 1990s and has already ordered 54 hybrid units from the Finnish specialist since 2020.

The latest delivery, comprising twelve units, took place in July 2023.

These new-generation straddle carriers enable GMP to reduce its carbon footprint, in line with its strategic objectives. Noise pollution is also reduced.
