Appointments

Hervé Martel has been reappointed as Chairman of the Executive Board of the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille-Fos (GPMM), by a decree published on 29 March 2025 in the Journal Officiel.

This reappointment had received the endorsement of the President of the PACA Region, Renaud Muselier, and the Port’s Supervisory Board.

Hervé Martel will therefore remain in post for a further five years, until 2029, having served as acting Chairman since August 2025 following the end of his previous term of office. This will enable him to implement the strategic plan, which is now in its final stages prior to adoption.

He will be assisted by Sarah Amri, who is responsible for finance, strategy and information systems; Rémi Costantino, who is responsible for major projects; and Patrick Maddalone, the Secretary-General.

The Executive Board is overseen by the Supervisory Board, chaired by Christophe Castaner, who was reappointed last year. The Development Council, an advisory body, is chaired by Mathieu Stortz (see below). The UMEP wishes Hervé Martel every success in his new term of office.
