Appointments
On 24 January, the Board of Directors of Logistique Seine Normandie elected its new Chairman, Raphaël Pasquet, who previously served as the sector’s treasurer and as a representative of the Union Portuaire Rouennaise. His people-centred vision of growth will drive the sector’s ambitions, with a focus on developing cross-sector industrial activity and supporting innovation to benefit those working in logistics and the supply chain. These initiatives will help to strengthen the competitiveness of the Normandy region.
Logistique Seine Normandie intends to play its role as a unifying network to the full
Bouncing back from a slowdown in industrial activity, which is affecting transport and logistics, is one of Logistique Seine Normandie’s top priorities at the start of this year.
“At this time of economic strain, when businesses tend to scale back their communications, we believe, on the contrary, that the solution lies in increasing the volume of exchanges. Trade is an integral part of the activities that a sector such as ours must develop. We have organised ourselves with this in mind to serve the needs of our members,” emphasises Raphaël Pasquet.
To support these ambitions, the cross-cutting nature of the logistics and transport sectors gives Logistique Seine Normandie a unique standing to bring together professional organisations from other sectors around the region’s industrial competitiveness.
As the son of a haulier, Raphaël Pasquet developed an interest in this sector from a very early age.
As he explains, “LSN intends to play its role as a unifying network to the full, strengthening ties with policy-makers in order to raise their awareness of the reality on the ground and to promote concrete actions in terms of streamlining procedures and decision-making. The aim is to support them in identifying strategic sites for the development of logistics to serve industry, against a backdrop of zero net land take and increasing land scarcity.”
A smooth handover of the presidency of Logistique Seine Normandie
The handover from Sonia Dubès to Raphaël Pasquet as Chair of Logistique Seine Normandie took place in front of the network’s members during the ‘Perspectives by LSN’ seminar.
UMEP extends its warmest congratulations to Raphaël Pasquet and looks forward to collaborating with LSN.
