Le Havre Port Centre is coming to the Stade Océane!

Le Havre Athletic Club and LH Port Centre are joining forces to offer a new experience to spectators at the Stade Océane. The LH Port Centre is an educational venue offering exhibitions, talks, tours and workshops to enable everyone to discover the port and industrial sector as a whole. Whilst awaiting its opening at the Terminal de la Citadelle next autumn, the LH Port Centre is setting up shop within the Stade Océane grounds.

Thanks to the commitment of its founding members, Le Havre Port Centre will be setting up within the stands of the Stade Océane. The association will present an exhibition, designed in collaboration with the artist BD.ART, entirely dedicated to port culture, alongside a series of workshops.

This collaboration is an opportunity to engage with the Ciel&Marine audience by helping them (re)discover the trades, infrastructure and the whole industrial and port world that are the pride of the region.

An exhibition, a quiz, virtual reality… these are just some of the activities that will be on offer to spectators at the HAC v FC Nantes match. The exhibition will also be open on non-match days, particularly during guided tours of the Stade Océane for school groups or at certain events held within the stadium.

To symbolise this partnership, the East Stand – the main stand at the Stade Océane – will be renamed the ‘Tribune EST LH Port Centre’.
This new development forms part of the strategy to promote the local and regional area,

which the HAC has been pursuing for many years. Port activity is the economic, social and cultural lifeblood of Le Havre, and many Ciel&Marine fans have strong ties to the port and its industries. The HAC is proud to once again be able to highlight those who make Le Havre and its region such a unique and dynamic area!

“This partnership, which I welcome and for which I thank the founding members and Le Havre Athletic Club, represents a real opportunity for Le Havre Port Centre. It is a unique opportunity to link Le Havre’s football culture – as France’s oldest club – with its industrial and port culture, both of which bring together many of Le Havre’s residents.” Jean-Baptiste Gastinne, President of the LH Port Centre

“Le Havre Athletic Club has built its history by drawing on its Le Havre roots, the local ecosystem and the distinctive features that make our city unique. Among these, port activity is undoubtedly THE hallmark of the region. It is only right and natural that the HAC should now join forces with the LH Port Centre to promote this port culture. We want to make the Stade Océane a place of celebration, pride and sharing, but also a space for culture and the promotion of talent: hosting this exhibition in our main stand is both original and natural. I would like to thank everyone involved in the project, and in particular the founding members of the LH Port Centre, for this collaboration, which we hope will be a long-lasting one.” Jean-Michel Roussier, President of Le Havre Athletic Club.
