A developer is an expert in programming languages and software development. Their role is to design computer programmes based on the specifications agreed with their clients. They must also monitor these programmes regularly after launch, carrying out maintenance and making improvements.

IT developers work on a constantly changing range of programmes across a wide variety of sectors: telecommunications, transport, banking, insurance, the automotive industry, retail, mass retail, etc. If they work in the video games sector, they collaborate closely with graphic designers and web designers.
