Launch of a call for expressions of interest: ‘Logistics Innovation Programme 2025’
The Directorate-General for Enterprise (DGE) is launching a call for expressions of interest to identify an initial cohort of start-ups and SMEs offering innovative products or services aimed at players in the logistics sector.
The logistics and freight transport sector faces a range of challenges in an increasingly competitive global environment, notably: the green transition, reindustrialisation, competitiveness, improved working conditions and attractiveness.
Innovation is a key driver for addressing these challenges and ensuring that French operators remain competitive on the international stage. Based on this assessment, the Directorates-General for Enterprise (DGE) and for Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility (DGITM), in collaboration with France Logistique, launched a joint initiative on innovation as early as 2021, which culminated in the France 2030 ‘Logistics 4.0’ Call for Projects, providing funding for innovative solutions.
Building on this momentum and in line with the objectives of the 2025–2026 Logistics and Freight Transport Roadmap, the Directorate-General for Enterprises (DGE) is launching a call for expressions of interest (AMI) aimed at start-ups and SMEs offering innovative products or services for logistics operators. It aims to establish an initial cohort of companies that will benefit from a dedicated support programme lasting one year. The programme will be managed by the DGE in collaboration with public partners and France Logistique. The DGE is thus committed to fostering the emergence of French leaders in the sector and the widespread adoption of solutions across the entire logistics industry.
Complementing existing initiatives and schemes at local or national level, this programme will support French players in logistics innovation – start-ups and SMEs – as they scale up, focusing on the main growth challenges and obstacles to their development.
Successful applicants will benefit from individual and collective support: introductions to partners and potential private or public buyers, exchanges with peers, enhanced visibility, and support on key issues for business development.
This programme will also facilitate the adoption and dissemination of home-grown innovations relevant to major public and private partner organisations. It will further contribute to strengthening partnerships between existing initiatives and stakeholders within the logistics innovation ecosystem.
Any SME with its registered office in France and in existence for less than 20 years is invited to submit an application, provided it meets the following criteria:
- Propose one or more innovative solutions, whether technological or not, addressing key challenges in the logistics sector (transport and storage of goods). These solutions must address the sector’s key challenges: economic development and sovereignty (including improving the attractiveness of the sector’s professions, working conditions and skills development), the green transition and regional development;
- The solutions submitted must already have active markets, or have successfully completed at least one POC (proof of concept), with a public or private sponsor in the field of logistics or a related sector.
Applications are open from 1 April to 5 May (23:59) via the online platform on the website of the Directorate-General for Enterprise. The winners will be announced at an event at Bercy in mid-June 2025
