Proxinnov, accredited as a Technology Resource Centre (CRT), has been helping manufacturers with their industrial performance projects for over 10 years.

Having joined the “Le Havre, Smart Port City” (LHVPI) programme, Proxinnov – a specialist in robotics and Industry 4.0 – took a further step forward by establishing a presence in the Normandy city last spring.

Jade Le Maître, Managing Director of Proxinnov, explains that the Le Havre branch “reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of manufacturers across France. It embodies our desire to align our expertise with the specific challenges faced by our members in Normandy”. This new office enables the organisation to “support partners in a more responsive and local manner”, she adds. The aim is to support the region’s sustainable reindustrialisation, with the backing of local partners.

To this end, Proxinnov was supported by Le Havre Seine Développement (LHSD) in selecting the location and in liaising with the LHVPI regional innovation programme regarding the financial arrangements. The Seine Estuaire Chamber of Commerce and Industry facilitated meetings with local businesses.

Numerous challenges

There are numerous challenges: modernising production equipment, reducing the physical strain of tasks, and developing user-friendly interfaces.

By the end of 2024, Proxinnov will be offering its robotic expertise and the development of a 200 m² Tech Lab across port and industrial activities, metallurgy, automotive subcontracting, logistics, the agri-food sector, energy, transport, aerospace, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.

Caroline Watripont, who is in charge of developing the Proxinnov Normandy branch, explains that the objectives are to:

• Strengthen the competitiveness and appeal of industry in Normandy and the Axe Seine region,
• Support businesses in their efforts to improve their production processes and in their transition towards the industry of the future,
• Create new synergies between manufacturers in the Normandy region and long-standing members of the Proxinnov network.

Proxinnov has therefore set up its base at the Bâtiment d’Intelligence Collective (BIC) Valmy, which will be unveiled on 19 November as part of a partnership with LSN. Its official opening is scheduled for 12 December 2024.
