Logistique Seine Normandie (LSN) is organising, alongside its partners, the second edition of the Seine Corridor Multimodal Day, with the theme
‘Let’s accelerate decarbonisation’. It will take place at the Kindarena in Rouen on 28 May 2024. 

This is a business and innovation event dedicated to river and rail logistics and the decarbonisation of these activities. It is aimed at shippers, manufacturers and transport operators.

Discussions will focus on the integration of rail and/or river transport into transport plans, the development of existing freight flows, the financing of modal shift projects, and innovative solutions to optimise multimodal transport chains.

As a reminder, the first edition in 2022 attracted nearly 200 participants. LSN aims to make it a “must-attend event for multimodal transport in Normandy and the Seine Valley, serving the Île-de-France region and the wider European territory”.

The programme will include a presentation of innovative operational and software solutions promoting the development of river and rail logistics.

There will be a focus on the CEE Remove programme. This programme aims to boost the modal shift of freight from road to bulk transport modes (rail, river and sea) and to make fleets greener.

Five themed workshops will be offered:

• multimodality: an asset for construction site logistics
• an ecosystem conducive to the decarbonisation of freight transport
• modal complementarity & optimisation of supply chains
• the container strategy on the Seine Corridor: what role for Rouen?
• the Seine–Scheldt link: new opportunities for promoting modal shift along the Seine Corridor
