The Le Havre pilots have a new chairman

Pavel Pereira has stepped down as chairman of the Le Havre-Fécamp Pilotage Station after a four-year term. He has been succeeded by Thierry Gazengel.

A graduate of the ENSM, a first-class captain and navigation officer in the French Navy, he cut his teeth at Louis Dreyfus Lines, CMA CGM and Orange Marine. He joined the Le Havre-Fécamp Pilotage Station in 2002.

For the record, the station’s 45 pilots handle more than 10,000 vessel movements per year and 1,800 operations involving the transport and retrieval of pilots by helicopter.
